Ubuntu is the most popular distribution from Debian. It is the creation of Canonical, a company that is made to drive Ubuntu’s growth further and earns money by providing support.
There are several different variants of Ubuntu for desktop, server, and various custom applications. They also offer a version of LTS that is kept up to date for 3 years on desktop computers and 5 years on servers, which gives developers and companies the confidence to create solutions based on a stable distribution.
